Great family diner. Nothing fancy as far as decor or even menu items. What they do, they do well. I haven't add good old fashioned onion rings like these in a long time. Burgers are juicy. Nice meals for the kids too.

I love this place. They have some of the best food. I love their onion rings. They are some of the most crisp onions rings I have had in a long time, not greasy at all! I would go back there just for their onions rings. Everyone else in our group of 8 had amazing food as well. I also had the rest beef and gravy and I also loved the fried zucchini. You really need to try some of there coconut cream pie too.

For a small town, I have to give Jacks 5 stars. The food is great. The fish is the best I’ve ever eaten & breakfasts are great too. It’s not often that you will find a place like this with great home cooked food with good prices. Glad we found this place e while visiting the area.

If your from Rising Sun Indiana, odds are that you have been eating at Jack's since birth. I've been eating there for over 50 years, yes, it has changed hands several times but there's one constant and that's the food. Hours are limited so eat there when you can.Jacks was poppin' when I was there at 9am on Tuesday 5/14/24. We were a 8 top of seasoned Jack's Place Professionals lol. The whole restaurant was packed with regulars. I just couldn't say no to the Big Jack Platter. A double beef patty burger still served on that three piece sesame bun. Fryer oil had just been changes, fries were hot and very fresh. Let's talk Cole slaw lol. It just wasn't right and the owner called herself on it. I was asked and I told the truth, more Mayo. There was no way they were letting me out the door until the Cole slaw got my approval, and it did. I live 1,000 miles away now, whenever I come to the Cincinnati area, Jack's Place is a must. I've always been a customer, at one time I cooked there in the early 90's. Just remember the hours. Closed Wednesdays and Sundays. 9-2, til 6 on Fridays. Its that easy. Tell them Joel sent ya lol.

Such a cute small town diner. Has a counter you can sit at to eat. I sat in a booth & it was comfortable. The waitress was super nice. They have a big cheeseburger that is made like a big Mac- 2 hamburger patties & 3 pieces of bun with cheese. Food came out very quickly and correctly. The prices were very reasonable. I have came to this town several times for the casino. This was first time we ate since we were spending the night. We will stop by here again. I read the hours when I came in & they close early. That's the only bad thing I saw.

Traditional American small town dining experience. Clean and friendly environment. Very family friendly. The food was served at the perfect temperature and appropriate portion sizes.

Hard to understand how an advertised 'huge tenderloin ' isn't any bigger than an onion ring... but it was good. Food is ok. Prices are ok. Sweet tea is ok. Service is really good. Atmosphere is quite bland. Working in the area and a local recommend this place. It's ok but probably won't come back.
